I recently bought a (wooden) Buffet E11 Bb Clarinet.
What do you think of this instrument?

It's the musical equivalent of a Ford Ranger pickup....i.e. "great value".

I own a Buffet E11 C clarinet that is fantastic. Additionally, some years ago, I bought my daughter a Buffet E11 Bb which she still plays and likes better that all of my R13 and LeBlanc Bbs. They are affordable Buffets that can perform in the pro leagues. A "good buy." (good bye)

I have had a wooden Buffet E11 Bb clarinet now for going on 3 yrs now (7th through 10th grade) and it is the best. I know that the R13 is "superior" to all clarinets, but I prefer my E11. I get an awsome tone on it and its even shinier than all the pricy R13s ; ) I'm extremely happy w/mine

I have been happy with mine for playing in a community orchestra. Nice tone, especially in the lower register. My only complaint is that I am sharp everywhere except at F and F# where I'm horribly flat. So I think it's the horn, not me. Enjoy your new toy!

i own an E11 too and i think for the amount of money i paid for it, it is an amazing instrument. i'm still in highschool and it'll probably take me up to or even through college. it has good intonation, a nice tone, and i like the feel of the keys a lot better than the R13's. Just remember to take good care of it and it'll serve you well.

I didn't interpret it that way...but no problem.

Thanks...I now see how it can be read in that fashion .... GBK (whose R-13's are not particularly shiny)

yeah, the only problem I have w/mine besides having a hard time seeing the music cus its so shiny ; ) is that I am always sharp and am having to pull out a a lot.
