I recently found a pad called Schmidt pads became available for flute at a flute repair work shop. http://www.flutearts.com/pages/info.htm
I know Straubinger pads are available for clarinet. Is this new pads available for clarinet too? The URL tells it enhances resonance since it does not have skin covering base pad. (Maybe like saxophone pads.)

There are plenty of pad makers out there Ferree's, Prestini, Pisoni, Chanu etc. etc. and they all claim that theirs are better than anyone else. Schmidt pads haven't reached here yet but if they do I will post my observations.
