What a cool new fingering! Have an old SILVER KING metal clarinet with articulated G# and extra "banana" key on the lower register. Just found out I can trill E--Eb....B---Bb by holding closed left index and thumb)upper joint) ...and "trilling" lower joint.....bottom ring with "ring finger". Not that I'd use it a lot....but what a discovery. Anyone have any other ideas with this extra fingering clarinet?

John...Here is an unusual (and totally useless) fingering for Bb5 not often found on fingering charts (this will work on both regular and full Boehm clarinets). Impress your friends and neighbors:
TR x x o / x x x + right pinky F#/C# ...GBK

GBK: Thank you so much for providing this spectacularly valueless fingering. I suspect I never shall use it except in jest.
You may recall my claim that there are more fingerings for Bb5 than any other note on the Clarinet, and many of them offer no utility whatsoever. Here is one more alternative which comes close:
TR x o o | x x x E/B
Just maybe, with the right phase of the moon and all that stuff, it could be used for a tremolo from B4 to Bb5, a requirement likely never seen in Clarinet music.
Of course, there are a dozen or so others. This is why I never could get warmed up over the "fork Eb/Bb" offered on many instruments. Aside from considerable added complexity, it seems unneccessary to have one more fingering for Bb5, even though it might be useful.

Wait a minute...an extra 'banana' key? Do you mean another key similar to the one that we use for fork B/F#? Where is it located, exactly?
As for the E-Eb or B-Bb trill using the RH ring finger, I don't think I understand how this is different from the normal Boehm clarinet where you can trill with anything that touches the ring assembly.

JMcAulay ...I'm glad to see that your Bb5 fingering suggestion is just as creative (and just as useless) as mine.
There are more interesting and worthless Bb5 fingerings where those came from.
You now see how I pass those interminably long "strings only" rehearsal moments in orchestra...GBK
