I have heard really awsome things about David Hite's M42 Eb Clarinet mouthpiece. Does anyone own one? Does anyone know if Bb reeds will fit on this mouthpiece (Greg Smith's Eb mouthpiece uses Bb reeds if you trim the heel...)
Thanks for your help!

I've never heard something about Bb reeds cuting for Eb mouthpiece (FRANCE is so remote?). I play a Noblet Eb, and i only use Vandoreen reeds for Eb mouthpiece.
I think it's the best way.
Thanks for your answer about bass clarinet...

I own a Hite Eb mouthpiece and like it very much. Dave claims that it eliminates intonation problems in the altissimo register. It hasn't completely fixed mine, but it does simplify some of the tricks i have to use to get the instrument in tune (it's an old LeBlanc Symphonie). I like the sound and response i get from the mouthpiece. I use both Bb and Eb reeds on this mouthpiece--and both work OK for me. I go through a lot of Bb reeds, though, and so some of the marginal Bb reeds get used on the Eb, making the purchase of Eb reeds pretty much unnecessary. For some reason (maybe i don't play it enough) i'm not as picky about reeds on the eefer as i am on the Bb.

I have a Hite Eb mouthpiece. But I don't know if it is that model no.
I thought it worked pretty nicely. I checked out a few different brands
before I settled on the Hite and I'm not sorry. I've only used Eb reeds on
it though, so I can't comment about using Bb.
