Does any know of women that have composed songs for clarinet
or two clarinets and a piano? Please send your suggestions
to me or to akc102@york.ac.uk Thanks

Go to the Composition Database here on Sneezy, search for "Female", and have fun.

Yvonne Desportes wrote two clarinet quartets and I believe at least one solo. Her pieces are very nice.

Hi! I'm a freshman at Converse College in Spartanburg, SC. Joan Tower and Libby Larsen just left here. They were part of a Symposium on Women in Music. I know Joan loves clarinets. Everytime she mentioned how wonderful clarinets were, we clarinets high fived eachother.
This doesn't really have much to do with clarinet music, but both women wrote wonderful pieces for the Verdehr Trio out of Michigan State (violin, piano, CLARINET). The trio members were the guest artists.
Just thought I'd let everyone know about our Symposium. Joan Tower and Libby Larsen are awesome!
Good luck on your search for women composers!
Melanie
