i closed my pack of reed rush in their leblanc plastic case thing...and they all turned moldy. they have that fuzzy stuff all over them and they're white.
should i throw it out or wash it off?

Toss them. Mold spores are very difficult to destroywithout also ruining the surrounding space. You do not want mold anywhere near you clarinet or reeds because it might cost you a new case and a bunch of reeds if the spores invade your music environment.

Toss it. The mould tastes awful, and the rush falls apart when it gets mouldy.
My father, who was an enthusiastic botanist, taught me that the way to store organic material is to press it between sheets of newspaper, with several volumes of an encyclopedia on top. That lets it dry out. Anything sealed just invites mould.
