TKS, Mark, the owners are friends, I've worked on their horn, a good one. I've helped alert Okla music stores and pawn shops. They know of the BB via me! Will our "Equipment" have a "Stolen" category? Don
Thanx, Mark, Don

Some guitar manufacters (Carvin and Fender I think) now use an electronic chip in addition to the serial number. The chip is about $20 from SNAGG and they keep a registery. I don't think SNAGG is as good as the car lo-jack system, but when my son's beautiful new Carvin bass was taken from the band room they were willing to loan our police a scanner.
Our working theory was that a third period student put the bass in his car trunk, and was afraid to bring it home and we were hoping to scan the cars in the lot adjacent to the band room.
However we never went that far, as the perp did not have a car and had tucked away it out by the construction storage area(didn't dare take it home.) Another student spotted the case while running the track (the case hard wear caught the sun and glared at him) and went to get it after the band instructor made inquires in the class.
We were very very lucky to get it back. Now it lives in the band instructor's locked closet, not in the instrumental storage room, which is locked in theory...

Mark, wouldn't you normally shun someone advertising a stolen instrument in the BB, telling them they should advertise in the "Stolen Instrument" area?

Mark, my apologies,. Thinking that the "Hot List" [stolen clarinets] would be available under the Equipment or General "clicks", I received the "Sorry" [revision] message, finding out later I must go to the "Clarinet Pages" to find it, with instructions, and a number of listings! Guess? [I know] I'm getting pretty old for this "young-persons" [my grandkids] game for the computer-schmardt!! Living, trying to learn. Don
Thanx, Mark, Don
