Am seriously contemplating selling my beautiful Leblanc Ambiance in favour of a Vintage.
Would be grateful for comments on, experience of this fine horn

It all depends on how well the vintage Buffet plays vs the Ambiance. Back in the 1960's, it was a common assumption among clarinetists that a "good" Buffet was hard to find. There were a lot of only "average" Buffet clarinets for sale and you had to audition quite a few before finding "the good one" or--as we used to say--"top shelf" clarinet. So, buyer beware--the word vintage does not a supurb Buffet clarinet make. Your LeBlanc Ambiance may already play better than most "vintage" Buffets.
But, if you're lucky and find that "top shelf" Buffet--there's nothing better.

Hi Barry
I remember in one of your posts where you mention that you feel that Vintage is better for you than the prestige?
Can you share with me on your perception of the two instruments? Thanks!
