Heads up, kids
Just got a very 'official' looking form from "eBay" with a convenient window for User Name and another for Password.
As mentioned numerous times here, eBay does not ask for your personal information (again) once you're registered.
I deleted the form, then emtied the trash.

Hi All,
I also got an "eBay" security check recently which told me unless I supplied the necessary information (SS#, address, credit card number and expiration, assorted passwords, etc) I "would have trouble bidding and buying on eBay. I was currently bidding just fine.
There was even a link to a site where I could provide this information. All looked very offical and they even had a link to eBay.
Delete these things immediately and empty the trash as Ron b said.

I received an official notice that said it was from eBay Safe Harbor that my account was suspended and to go to an eBay URL site. Fortunately it didn't work and another clue was that the URL contained a bogus network number in front.
If you get anything that looks suspicious you should contact the eBay.
This is an excerpt from eBay's reply back to me:
In the future if you receive a similar email, do not respond to it, and
contact us through the Rules and Safety Support at the following URL:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/basics/select-RS.html
You may also report future messages impersonating eBay to us by
forwarding the message to spoof@ebay.com. When using this email address
please make sure that you use the forward function of your email program with spoof@ebay.com in the to field. Please do not alter the subject
line, add text to your message, or forward the email as an attachment.

TKS, Ron et al, On back I received something similar, I regarded it much like a pyramid scheme, and deleted it pronto. Is that sufficient to kill any "idenity theft"? I suffered thru a password theft several years ago, got o lot of HOT messages, hope all is forgiven!!! Thanx for your security, Mark, Don
