 Borbeck Mouthpieces
Author: Mary Beth

Hey everyone.
I currently play on a Larry Combs mouthpiece with a Rovner lite lig and V-12 Vandoren reeds- size 4. My teacher is now suggesting that I order a Borbeck mouthpiece- in both 11 and 13 facings and decide which one i like best. She, along with Dennis Shaller, the former principal clarinet of the DSO, swear by them. She says that the German mouthpieces give a bit of a darker sound. Any comments??

Thanks in advance,
Mary Beth
