Arguably the best clarinet case made today. "Worth" is relative - the clarinet(s) you own might not be worth the price of the case ...

My wiseman case for my bass clarinet was the best purchase i ever made in regards to instrument transportation.
Don't be fooled by their small design they are heavier than normal cases, at least the bass case(the only one i own). However, you can also get you Bb or an Eb in the case if you are giging around so u don't have to carry multiple cases.(i have in extreme circumstances gotten both my Bb and A and my Bass into the case.. but it become very heavy and i only suggest doing this if there is serious luggage consideration.
My impetus to buying the wiseman was travel. After 9/11 i started having trouble getting my standard buffet prestige case on plans. After i got the wiseman i have only had to check my clairnet once and that was on a small commuter flight from bergen to amsterdam(after the audition so i didnt have more than the usual fit about that). I have gotten the case onto commuter plans before and since.. it ust depends on the flight crew and how understanding they are.
The case protects the instruments very well as well. I highly recomend it.

I had a freind design a case for me which holds about 10 reeds for $50.00 dollars, Its nice and has a antibacterial lining!

They are awesome bass clarinet cases because of the size of the instrument inside.. personally I would go with something like Bam for double cases though for soprano clarinets.

Wiseman cases are expensive. Relative price depends on how replaceable your instruments are. Putting your new Buffet Prestige low C bass or pair of Wurlitzers in a Wiseman case makes excellent sense. Would seem to ridiculous to put my old J Cartier bass in one, though.
I don't know anybody who makes cases for multiple soprano clarinets like theirs. If you want a case for an atypical combination, such as B-flat/A/C or B-flat/C/E-flat, they seem to be the only choice.
D Dow was probably referring Wiseman reed cases, machined out of hardwood, glass plate with plush lining, very nicely finished.

LeBlanc makes triple cases for less than half their price, lol
Not nearly as nice obviously- so it depends on how good your instruments are.

I have two Wiseman cases. The the case for bass to C, with space to two additional clarinets. I also own one of the very first quad cases that Howard made. The quad will do Eb-A clarinets...any combination up to 4 clarinets. A great idea...very practical.
These cases are incredible. Very solid...they do what a case should do......protect the instrument!
These cases are expensive but for me they have been well worth the expense.
