m30 vs b40 by Vandoren can anyone help me?
What kind is more used in USA?

I really like the B40. I used to play a B45 and messed around with coombs and morgans. The B40 is medium open mouthpiece so it gives me flexibility for playing soft and loud in pits, orchestras, and big band. The B40 has some resistance but I got used to it fairly quickly. There are some really good players on this board that play a B40 and they will have some nice insight.

From experience with both pieces I would say it depends on what kind of resistance you like to have in your personal set up. the M30 favors harder reeds and projects and sounds alot like the B40. .....the B40 requires a really strong embouchure.
