Just bored so I figured I'd beat wjk to the subject of clarinet dreams! (I saw it coming wjk! But I beat you!) If this is too loose a subject Mark C, then so be it and feel free to delete.
Let's limit to an abridged version of one dream per person
My most prevalent clarinet dream to date (I've had quite a few recently, within the past four months or so) but here's the abridged version of my favorite. (WARNING: My dreams are very crazy. Not life based at all).
I was a clarinet festival where I was competing in my age group. In my dream, apparently I was about 15 (why I reverted in age, I don't know, but I did). I was playing a Weber Concerto on my buffet B-12 (which I've never owned one). However I saw a glint in the corner of the tent! To my surprise, I found a Leblanc opus! I played it and won the competition. And what did I win, but another Leblanc Opus! (I love the Leblanc name. It just sounds so great to say.) Then my dream went a little wierd with the losers turning into zombies and coming towards me. The two opuses turned into two guns and I spent the rest of my dream shooting zombies around every corner with my Leblanc pistols. But that's not even remotely clarinet related so I'll stop there.
needless to say when I woke up I checked and there was no leblanc under in the case. And I wept.

I dreamed that I was concert mistress in a major wind symphony (I don't remember exactly which one) and I was standing up to tune when all of a sudden the entire group disappeared. Rather than panicing, I turned around and performed the solo I was working on at the time (copeland) then sat down and everyone applauded, and the entire group (which had randomly reappeared) got up and bowed. Not as good as yours, but it's a clarinet dream!
So many instruments to play........so little time to play them!

My wind symphony is doing a concert band arrangement of the Weber Concertino for our final performance, featuring our principal player (with whom I also play in the local chamber orchestra, where we trade off 1st parts). I recently dreamed he got sick and I had to fill in. Can't remember how well I did. It's now become a daydream as well. I've never played a concerto before an actual audience, so now I'm secretly plotting to get him ill so I can have my 15 minutes.
Maybe he'd like a week-old egg salad sandwich before the concert....

I dreamed that my R-13 cracked. I sat straight up in bed, and ran to check my clarinet. No cracks, thank goodness!

REAL men don't have clarinet dreams... Hence why I posted this thread. Secretely I wanted to know that I wasn't the only guy having clarinet dreams so I can be a little more at ease with myself for being such a wussy guy . . .

sfalexi, I have an almost identical dream, except one of the Peter Eatons turns into a Holland & Holland 12-bore under & over and I shoot the conductor.
Sweet dreams,

This just prooves that if you want something badly enough for the right reasons it will happen.

I had a lovely dream a while back in which I was playing my Moennig Artist Special bassoon (in PERFECT condition, while mine has nursed many an aspiring artist) while riding a unicycle around some sort of plaza on a beautiful sunny day - each performed effortlessly. Sigh... Does this count?
