Having just listened to the Metropolitan Opera's (delayed) broadcast on Sunday night (we get them a month behind the US/Europe). The opera in question was La Traviata - a wonderful performance, indeed. Boy the orchestra is certainly highly polished ... and that fiendish clarinet part (two clarinets) in 6/8 came out effortlessly - who are the met's clarinets?
