 Selmer CT 1950's

I have a clarinettist colleague who owns a non matched "pair" of the above clarinets. He bought the Bb in early '50's, and the A, in mid/late 50's. In response to recent tuning problems, he has measured the bores of both and has found that the A is of larger bore.
Now, several years ago he changed his m/p and his new one was sold to match the Bb (never thinking at that time there would be a diff in bore for the A.)

As I said, he now has intonation probs with the A.

My feeling is that he has a basic compatibility problem here, and that he has two choices -

a) to find an A clar with same or v similar bore characteristics to match his Bb and therefore his favourite m/p can be retained.

b) new pair of clars and reassess m/p's also.

Does anyone know of a bore change within the Selmer CT production in mid 50's ? (I can't access this information), or can you put me in contact with someone who might know ?

Regards and Thanks,

See if you could find Tom Ridenour online... he's VERY familiar with Selmer design philosophy.

I can't be definitive in an answer, but I wonder if the A has a larger bore to avoid having a significantly longer linear dimension?

I would start by having a proper barrel made.

I'm sure Ralph Morgan could do the job... maybe others as well.
