A friend of mine has a clarinet case that I really like. It is really lightweght and durable. The problem is, I can't find it anywhere. The label on it says "Orby" do any of you know where I could find it? Or do you have another suggestion? Thanks !

hi
Try the spelling O R L Y.
These are french style cases and offered for sale through but not limited to IMS (International Music Suppliers).
You can reach the IMS web site through here by going to Resources and then Retailers.

I think you're talking F.L. Orly cases maybe? Um....you could try doing a search on yahoo and it should bring up places that you could order them from. I 've heard these cases are exspensive! Good Luck in your search

I know that, in the UK, you can get them from John Myatts (www.myatt.co.uk) or Howarths (www.howarth.uk.com), the latter slightly cheaper - cost £80ish. I'm sure they'd do overseas mail order, but I guess that would up the price quite a bit. And there are bound to be places that sell them in the US. [Sorry, am just assuming that you're US-based!]
I have a single Orly case for my Bb and have been very pleased with it. Yes, they're not cheap, but they are pretty sturdy and having something that is easily portable, particularly if you're travelling on public transport with it plus lots of bags, is really useful. Likewise the fact that you can wear it as a backpack.
I know they do double cases too, and I was really tempted by their triple case recently, but I caught myself on and so far my £££ has stayed in my purse...
