 Alexander classic vs MORRE
Author: Hiroshi
Date:   1999-10-05 05:56

This is FYI:

Now I am experimenting a box of Alexander Superieur "Classic". My first impression is very very good: Its tone does not come up abruptly (by the present reeds with thick tip designs) but very smoothly and good projection with its a thicker heel.

At their WEB page,I found they are trying to seek MORRE reeds design although they do not show the exact name. But every body can recognize it by their expression that in a time Chicago Symphony orchestra clarinettists favoured the reed.

I have a Greg-Smith profiler to exactly match the MORRE profile. I can fine finish 'classic' reeds by this. This might be a happiest finding in these days.

The owner of Alexander was selling his last supplies of Morre reeds last year on eBay. The owner lives in Japan, Hiroshi!
