About 2 years ago I bought my first clarinet which is a LeBlanc Dynamic. I'm just wondering if anyone happens to know just alittle bit about this particular model. I've checked the LeBlanc website and other places and haven't been able to find anything about it and it seems it isn't produced anymore (mine was made in the 60's as far as I can tell). I bought it because it was the "best fit" lets just say and I wouldn't change it for anything.
Thanks for any info!.

Welcome Sue - I have a Dyn 2 and have worked on a Dyn H, there may have been more. My impression from these, other LeBs, and their publications is that they were among the large-bore [15.0 mm] top models of the 50-60s, giving competition to Selmer's Centered Tone et al series, while Buff was developing their modified-bore R 13. My D 2 is a 18/7 model having the Pete Fountain additions of fork Eb/Bb and artic. C#/G#. It plays nearly as well as my L7 [1980], a 17/6 and slightly smaller bore top model, which seems to have a bit less resistance! with the same mp/reed setup. I like L's and Sels as you can see. Theyre good ones. Don
Thanx, Mark, Don

Hi,
I have a Dynamic 2 as well as a Selmer 9 and a 9*. The 9* is what I have been using most as it is extremely well in tune. The Dyn 2 is #2. The 9 is an 18/7 and the only reason I don't play that is I can't quite seem to get used to the LH C#/F# and keeping hitting the LH alt. Eb at times.
All are great clarinets (and I have owned R13s).
