Good question. Also, why would a huge company like Yamaha need someone else to make a Clarinet for them? I don't know, but it seems to be common knowledge that some of the low-end Yamahas are made by Vito, Or, for that matter, why would a huge company like Leblanc need someone else to make a sax for them? Especially considering the very close relationship between Leblanc Kenosha and Yanagisawa. Strange things can happen in the business world.

I am always open to later and more accurate information. Perhaps yours is better than that of the Yamaha seller who told me the YAS23 is made by Yanagisawa.
