A list of prominent clarinet teachers (extensive but by no means complete) is at http://www.woodwind.org/clarinet/Study/Teachers.html

James Gillespie at UNT is, by all accounts, a world-class clarinet teacher, and UNT is of course a world-class music school. He is both an artist and clinician for Leblanc and the editor of The Clarinet magazine, positions you don't get without knowing a thing or three about the ol' blackstick. I'm sure the other clarinet faculty members at UNT are fabulous as well.a

Artistic talent is a gift from God and whoever discovers it in himself has a certain obligation: to know that he cannot waste this talent, but must develop it.
