Does anyone know the difference between the ~M, Pk, Bn, Bc, and Jx, models? There is nothing on their web site to distinguish between them. Tried sending an email but got no reply, maybe it didn't get through. Anyway, what is the "closed tip" measurement on these mouthpieces, the accepted norm seems to be around 1mm but everyone has their own ideas.

The site didn't help. No magic decoder as of yet. I guess these mouthpieces aren't very popular with most. This would account for the absence of knowledge regarding them.

James Campbell seems to get very fine results with Pyne mouthpieces...as to measuring the site is does not state anything as to measurements in mm or English system

Perhaps this might stir a chor, he said to the blind man:

The different markings that you are asking about are bore styles, not facings. Kyle Pyne told me that the ~M is there most popular bore and they put an asymetrical facing on them. If you have a particular facing that you like on a mouthpiece that you have, you can send it to them and they can attempt to copy that facing onto one of their mouthpieces. As for the tip openings, I've tried the Medium and Medium Open facings on the ~M bore and they seem to be a bit more closed than any other mouthpiece I've tried with those facings. I would compare the tip opening of their Medium in the neighborhood of the same tip on the Vandoren M30, maybe just a hair more closed. As for exact measurements, I'm afraid Kyle didn't offer that information.
He also told me that there was a four month backlog (back in Feb.) on new mouthpiece orders so they weren't able to complete new orders until the end of April and on into the beginning of May.
Hope this helps!

Well, there is no point in pursuing this any further. It has become quite obvious that no one knows. My original question,"Does anyone know the difference between the ~M, Pk, Bn, Bc, and Jx, models?" may never be known. I will instead search for bigfoot or the lock ness monster. Haven't decided which yet. Will probably have better luck, (I heard they were a little shy, but, FRIENDLY).

Reckon not.......cryptic as all get out.
For $299 maybe you can get something just as good for a lot less. Maybe Synchronous Bytsh (sp?) can help you cross that boulevard.
