Hacker did a nice recording of this on both modern, and period instruments. His technique is very fine and he has a nice reedy sound. May not be to some people's taste though......

Alan Hacker is an important player of both the modern and classical clarinet. He is well known among contemporary music specialists for his work in the group The Fires of London, where he premiered many pieces written for him.
I've heard him play the Mozart Concerto live on both modern and classical instruments (in each case, with a bassett extension). He has a very lively and rather bright sound, which microphones are not kind to. He sounds much better in person than on recording. (Anthony Gigliotti was the same way.)
He's also a lovely man and a fine teacher, with a broad range of musical and other interests.
Best regards.
