 Antony Pay CDs

I would like to try some of Antony Pay's recordings, and would appreciate recommendations from your experience. Both "period" and modern instruments, but please indicate which is which. Also, where can they be found?

Tony Pay - Academy of Ancient Music

He has recorded for Virgin and Decca I believe.

The Tony Pay record I like the most is the Marriner version of the Gran Partita done with the St. Martin in the Fields on Philips. He and the other players in the clarinets(bassets too) display a fine sense of sonority and blend....

Check his Weber Concertos as well. Fine work and excellent style in this music...

A double CD with Virgin Classics featuring the 2 concerti + Concertino by Weber + 3 concerti by Crusell. All on period instrument and Tony conducting the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightment. I am not a great fan of the Crusells, but I just love the Webers in Tony's interpretation.

Stéphane.
