 Suisse Romande Concert
Author: D Dow

Just recently heard a concert on radio of this unbelievable group in the music of Kurt Weill, in the chamber concerto for Violin and I was totallly in awe at the crispness of ensemble. The clarinet playing was also tremendous as well...from what I gather this group really deserves alot more airplay. Some of the records I have of them are fine, but they really are sounding fine these days...

I love the Suisse Romande Orchestra. Their recording of the Prelude l'apres midi by Debussy with Ernest Ansermet conducting is fantastic!

They got a lot of airplay in the 1970's & 80's - don't know why they don't get more now. A friend's daughter is co-principal horn, and she is an awsome player. Wish they would tour to North America.
