Author: BlockAM

Hello everyone,
I am new here and am looking for information on my clarinet. It is a buffet sn 18252, which places it 1935. Anyone no what model or anything about the buffets of this era? Thanks.

Oh, and 2 more things that might be helpful: it is a Bb clarinet and it is the boheim system, not the german system. Hope this helps.

Lee Gibson says, in "Clarinet Acoustics", that Buffet followed Selmer, after about 1925, into the larger bore realm until Robert Caree lead them back to small bores in the 1950's.

That is helpful, so now i know i have a large bore horn. Anyone have any info on the possible model or how much this may be worth? Thanks.
