 humidor for reeds

I'm not sure if this has been asked or not. What do you think about keeping reeds in a humidor? Have a cigar humidor that's never been used for tobacco so it wouldn't make the reeds smell or taste like cigars. So would the humidity help or hinder the reeds? Thanks......
