 Cincinnati teacher
Author: Stephanie

I am a freshman in high school and just found out that my father is being transferred to Cincinnati. My teacher recommends that I contact the Cincinnati Conservatory for a teacher. Does anyone out there know who the better teachers are in Cincinnati? I've already performed the Brahms Sonatas and the Weber Concerto #1, so I'm pretty advanced for my age.

Thanx,
Stephanie

I live in Noethern Kentucky so I know a lot of teachers around between here and Cincinnati. Are you looking for the clarinet professors at CCM or when you thinking about a doctorial student?

Depending on where in Cincinati you will live, another place you may want to choose to find a teacher is at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. They also have a very good program and an excelent good teacher with great students who teach. E-mail me if you would like the number of Michele Gingras who is the Clarinet Professor at Miami U. or I could also find out some of the names of students who may be able to get in touch with you.

Another thought I had is if your parents have decided where they would like to live? Have they? Can you find out where?

You may also want to consider some of the players in the Cincinnati Symphony- it's a great orchestra.

Ron deKant and Ron Aufmann both perform in the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and teach at CCM.
Aufmann also teaches at Northern Kentucky University.... and he's my teacher!!
There are also a lot of great clarinetists going to school there that could teach you. I can also give you a list of them if you'd like. Just let me know!!
The Cincinnati area is full of great music and great musicians!
