 Question about edition
Author: charlesmunden

I have a recording from a friend that he got offline of a clarinet quartet (1 bass 3 Bb's) playing Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee. I have contacted Eble about this piece and they say they do not know of the piece or of anyone who arranged one. Does anyone out there in clarinetland know of this piece and where I could purchase a copy. Thanks for all of your help.

Charles

As I type this, I'm listening to your piece - played by the Budapest Clarinet Quintet. "The Bum of the Flightle Bee" could be for Eb, 3 Bb, Bass, or 4Bb and Bass- difficult to tell - it's over so quickly!

It's on NAXOS 8.553427. This is just a fantastic CD entitled :-
"Clarinet Evergreens" and should be in everyone's library.

I assume you'll be able to get it at Amazon, HMV or the like.

Good Luck,

BobT

Thank you for the information Bobt. What I am looking for however would be the actual sheet music for it though, not a recording. I have a copy of the recording. But thank you for your help.

Does one need to be a memeber of ICA in order to use this resource? I'm joining soon, just don't have the extra $ at the moment.

Thx!
