 Buffet E 11

I just bought a new E 11. From low E to low B flat, the sound is very clear. The notes B, C, and D flat are very fuzzy. above this the notes are clear again. Can anyone suggest what might cause this?

I would say it sounds as if you have a leaky pad. Have all the pads checked by someone because if the other notes are slear then its nnot you or the mouthpiece. Hope this helps!

the EXACT same thing happened with my E-11 A Clarinet. I would not settle for it, and sent it back to WWandBW twice until i got a better one. Still, it was fuzzy. My teacher realized that it was missing a LITTLE TINY pad (almost as thick as a piece of thin tape) between the A and Gsharp key. This caused a metal to metal buzz, and made it sound fuzzy. She put a piece of clear tape there, and it did the trick. I must say, though, i am glad only my A is an E-11; they do not impress me.
