AH! Help! Clarinets are taking over my life.
I had this weird dream where I was in high school (for some odd reason), and there was this fair going on. Most fairs give out prizes like toys and stuffed bunnies, but this one gave out mouthpieces and ligs! I went nutz and started taking them all! One lig in my dream was a clear blue and someone else took it, causing me to chase them down and steal it. LOL!
Am I going crazy?
Thought that would be amusing.

So far you are still ok...
When the dream starts to involve clarinets, handcuffs and a can of whipped cream it may be time to consider a change of majors...GBK<img src=" http://www.stopstart.freeserve.co.uk/smilie/censored.gif">

What did you have for lunch?
A shrink could have a lotta fun with this one, C'girl
Haven't you asked your friends, who know you far better than we do, to interpret your dream for you ???

Please keep us informed of your next dream(s). This could get very interesting! I am looking at my lig in a whole new way now.

Hey, wait a minute! I just had a dream that I was at a fair and someone was chasing me to take my mouthpiece away from me, and I didn't know who this person was or why they wanted my mouthpiece! Soooooo, it was yooooouuuuu!
(But of course, I won't say what it was that I was doing just before I passed out... oh, ah, um, I meant fell asleep, yeah, fell asleep, that's it, fell asleep, I didn't pass out, I fell asleep, which probably caused me to have such a dream!) :-) :-) :-)

This is fascinating, because I had one of the weirdest dreams of my life just last night. The first one I've ever had (that I recall) that did involve a clarinet. Seems I'd reported to community band practice but had forgotten any reeds. I did, however, just happen to have (I am not making this up) a brazil nut in my pocket, which I then proceed to carve into a usable reed. Actually it wasn't usable for long, and I was forced to relinquish my chair to a tenor saxophone player. It rather makes me think I need a therapist.
Could have been worse, I suppose: at least there wasn't any whipped cream and handcuffs involved.

Yes, Meighan, it was a Brazil Nut. That's what made it so bloody weird. I mean, you know, if it'd been a cashew or pistachio, it would have made perfect sense.
But I'm still upset because they made me give up my seat to a tenor saxophone player. All for a lousy brazil nut.

Wow Vic! That's an amazing dream!
Now, my clarinet dreams have been much less unusual. The ones I can remember now all involved my having to go to another building to retrieve my horns and then go back to my dorm (this was way back in college...). I had to make this trip before a tornado was due to hit town...
I think I was under some sort of stress... ;^)

lol, Kat's dream sounds like my real life last year.
I was coming from marching band rehearsal, and it had been raining really bad all day. 2 minutes after I get in my dorm, I had to pee... at that moment, the wind was blowing (they kept the bathroom windows open) and doors started slamming. I ran out (I had finished my business by then, lol) of the bathroom to see a cloud of dust go down the hallway. A tornado hit the side of my dorm!
We all ran down 7 flights of stairs to the basement. A lot of things were really messed up, and 2 people actually died. Cars were flipped and demolished. And the tornado originated right by the performing arts center, so others leaving after band actually watched it form! I was worried cuz my boyfriend was out there, but he was ok.
If anyone recalls the tornado at UMD, that's what I am talking about. lol It is a rare occurance around my way to see a tornado.
And when people think how bad it would be when a disaster stikes while you're on the toilet, it is!

As I've said before of other things: "I wouldn't touch that line with a ten foot pole!"
I dare anyone to beat that one!

ok ok, I had a new dream last night. It was more like a nightmare. It wasn't as in depth as the other dream, though.
I was in band rehearsal with my R-13, and I kept looking at it. The more I looked at it, the more cracks it seemed to get. I think I went mad and started running around trying to make the cracks stop. Then I was on a highway overpass on a gas powered scooter, and I ran into a pheonix.
hahaha!!

Contragirl, you need to stop overanalyzing your clarinet playing! LOL...at least that's my $.02 on your dream...
Maybe you need to look into scooter racing in order to further your career...ya know, phoenixes always are reborn...
J/K!
And your real life sounds like something I'd NEVER want to have to experience! I've always had an excruciating fear of tornadoes...
xoxo,
Katrina

A clear blue lig sounds soooooo cool, that'd look AWESOME on a crystal mpc, or better still, a blue tinted one, of a lighter shade than the lig!
*ideas turn in Morrigan's head*
*evil giggle*
