Our chamber orchestra at our school (basically, the winds and strings who know how to play) are playing peter and the wolf for our upcoming concert in a few months. And, being both a band and orchestra member, I have been recruited to recruit people from the band to play the uncovered wind parts. I was just wondering, does anyone know the exact wind/percussion instrumentation for Peter and the wolf? If so I would be most grateful if you would tell me. Thanks!

The original wind and percussion instrumentation for "Peter and the Wolf" is as follows:

Cindy,
If you don't know the instruments required, you obviously haven't got the parts or seen the score yet.
If you've only got a few months I'd get them as soon as possible. It's a very difficult piece for all the wind players.

Be glad that you don't play flute. Listen and you'll know what I mean.
My high school played this piece a few years ago- the clarinet part has a few very tricky bits that require a lot of work. There's a cadenza.
