What are the bore sizes of the Selmer Balanced Tone and Center Tone Bb clarinets? How would one describe the differences between the two instruments? Thanks!

I just measured my L series BT (38?) and it is 0.590" at the top of the top section. I don't know when the Centered Tone instruments were first made, nor what the horns made between BT and CT were called.
I have an M series (45?) and I just measured it as 0.593". Also an N series (48?) and it measures 0.592".
I made a step gauge out of Delrin because I don't trust myself with adjustable gauges anymore.
For what it's worth,
Dick

Is the top of the top section the place where bore sizes are usually referenced? I thought it was the bottom of the top section - though I could easily be mistaken.

Fred- I'm far from expert re: your ?, John Butler, Ken Shaw and others can give you more info, but I measure inside both UJ tenons, to determine cyl. or modified boring [usually slight, perhaps within egg-shaped aging?]. I have a '32 Sel RI FB and 2 P series [52-54] Centered Tones, the 54 being better-playing to me. They are all cyl. [as best I can see] and right at .590" [15.0 mm] "big bores". The only other horns I have that play this well are LeBlancs, L7 and Dynamis 2, but dont have much Buff familiarity.Don
