No, don't get excited, I'm not announcing the arrival of a new Gonzalez mouthpiece!
I have tried FOF reeds, and although the cane is of the very best quality, I don't think the cut suits my mouthpiece facing. For all the FOF fans out there, which mouthpiece do you play them on?

FYI--I play a Chicago Kaspar and did not like the FOF reeds either (still hooked on the Vandys V12s) [sorry, GBK]

I rotate among a few mouthpieces (in order of usage):
Vandoren crystal
original Ch. Chedeville(QUALITE SUPERIEURE)
Borbeck (early 1970's)
Ann Arbor Kaspar (1968)
Fobes (San Francisco)
The Gonzalez FOF did not adapt well to my custom Morgan, perhaps because of its duckbill profile, so I sold the Morgan mouthpiece.
The others all work fine...GBK

Eaton 1010 m/p. FOF work really well on this one.

The Gonzalez reeds work pretty well with my Grabner mouthpieces, but the SML mouthpiece that came with my clarinet seems to work only with Olivieri reeds (which are a little longer and narrower). The FOF reeds do not work at all with that.

I play on one of the new Sidney Forrest moutnpieces by Leblanc. The FOF reeds are great with it. The mouthpiece is a very heavy material. I am getting 8 or 9 good reeds out of a box using it (3.5 and 3.75 stregnth reeds)....

The FOF reeds work well on my Gennusa GE* mouthpiece but they do not work on my Jewel Dave Knox mouthpiece. It's a duckbill shape and very open tip as well.

Gigliotti P34, Kaspar Cicero and Ann Arbor. Adjustments are slightly different, but FOF works on 'em all.

Thans for all your replies. I'm using a Viotto mouthpiece with a personalised facing. I'll definitely try my FOF reeds on some other mouthpieces. The quality of the cane is certainly superior to other brands that I've tried!

One addition to my original posting:
Whenever I use my original Chedeville or Kaspar, I travel with my Greg Smith Chedeville(1+) in my case as an emergency back-up.
The Greg Smith mouthpiece works superbly with the FOF reeds...GBK
