My, very enlightened, employer has a policy of providing an annual budget to be spent on training/development and I have been made aware of this event in Salt Lake City by Bob Gardner's earlier posting, so I hope to use my allowance towards attending it. I have tried to find details about it but find that the publicity on the 'net is limited and have yet to receive a reply from the ICA to my enquiry for information. Can I access this somewhere or can anyone give me details?
I'm not very familiar with your splendid country and wonder what options may be available for travel from the U.K. rather than direct flights to S.L.C. and, if it doesn't seem too cheeky, is there anyone out there who might be interested in providing budget accomodation to a fellow clarinettist?

Is is a prerequisite that you must be a member of the ICA to attend Clarinetfest? I would really like to attend, but I've not joined yet...yes, I know, I'm terrible!

Yes, you must be a member - but you can join "on the spot".

Dear Jez,
As an exhibitor I have already gotten the information on housing and it will be published in The Clarinet in the March edition (probably Mark will have it up on the BB before). There are three options for housing which are all on campus and within walking distance of the auditorium - a 4 star hotel, a 3 star hotel bed and breakfast set up, and housing in the dormatory rooms. All three are very affordable (in comparison to many urban areas - The City, LA, Chicago etc. There is an option to eat in the dining halls of the University on a price per meal arrangement. All the information will out soon!
