 Blue Shades

Hey everyone!
My high school band is playing Blue Shades this year. I am very excited to say that I will be playing that amazing clarinet solo! Does anyone have any advice on it? I can't wait until I get it under my fingers! Woo hoo! :D

Great day to you all!

I also had the privelege of playing it. My advice is, BLOW! Have the most fun with it possible, and be sure to bend the pitches when asked to. It was the most fun I've ever had on stage, I hope it will be the same for you!

Have fun yes, but listen. It isn't easy to just put that solo together. It's somewhat complicated in the begining. (ie it may be a good idea to just play it from memory).
