I just got my copy of "Yesterday's Clarinetists: A Sequel" and was really anticipating reading what Prof. Weston has to say about Reginald Kell. Alas, I got referred to "CVT." CVT has those two paragraphs in the introduction about how R.K. didn't fit into her previous work. Of course, all the books are a goldmine of information, the best of which is introduction to lesser-known or unknown players. But I'm disappointed I can't read more about Kell from Pamela Weston.

If you need additional material concerning Kell, there was a nice article by Lee Gibson in The Clarinet Volume 5 Number 1 (Fall, 1977), and a tribute issue (Volume 9 Number 2, Winter 1982).
You can order the back issues (both only available in photocopy) from the ICA...GBK

A multipart biography of Kell was published in several issues of The Clarinet last year. It's essential reading about an important player and personality, who lived a sad life.
Best regards.
