 Reed temperature

I know there are ways to keep reeds from drying out in a dry environment, but is there someway to maintain the same temperature? For example, when the weather is really cold is there someway to keep the reeds from experiencing extreme changes from indoors to outdoors, like keeping them in a thermos or something. Just a weird thought I had.
