A major radio station here in Southern California (KABC 790) is going to be airing an interview with Artie Shaw. I emailed the talk show host and received the following reply:
"The Artie Shaw interview will air in it's entirety on Saturday morning, February 15th, beginning at 1AM [PST]. It's a long interview and may run as long as 3 hours and 30 minutes. We're still cutting the tape.

I will be listening in by radio, but I believe you can also listen in on the KABC web site. By the way, the air time is not a typo. It actually is 1:00 AM Pacific Standard Time (i.e. the wee hours of the morning).
The talk show host has been promoting the interview and it sounds like it'll be fun. You can say lots of things about Artie Shaw, but boring isn't one of them.

I couldn't find a way to listen in on the web site, though I may have missed it. To bad, I'd love to hear the interview. I can sometimes get southern U.S. stations on my shortwave radio, but I've never picked up anything from southern California.

Is this a new interview, or a replay of the earlier one, which we discussed a few months ago?? Search the Phorum for it. I believe there was some write-up in the ICA Journal not long back, will look. Don

I too couldn't find a way to listen in via the internet. That page came up as missing. If anyone has any tips please pass them along.
Although it will be on at 3 in the morning here in the frozen tundra. Yikes...I doubt I will make it.
