Do any "clarinet" alumni of Junior High School 217 (Queens, NY) or Stuyvesant High School (NYC) frequent this bulletin board? Thanks!

no, but i'm an alumni of what was formerly known as JHS 216 Queens (they are now MS 216) and a freshman at the Bronx High School of Science (which by the way, is much much much better than Stuy)

I mostly lurk around here, but I am an alumnus of Stuyvesant High School (Class of '74) and the Symphonic Band where I played 1st clarinet under the baton of the famous (or infamous, depending on your point of view ;-) Max Watras.
I went from Stuy to Columbia U where I played in the Wind Ensemble and Orchestra. Since then, I haven't played a whole heckuva lot (and it sounds that way ;-)
Plus, everyone knows it's much harder to get into Stuy than the Bronx High School of Stuy Wannabes ;-)
