Last year, I auditioned for All-Region band on an Eb clarinet that had been borrowed from another school (which is why I have to ask this...). There were two mouthpieces, and one of them had the word "Coast" on it. I was in love with the way the mpc sounded, looked, and felt, and was very sorry to have to give it back. Though I have searched around on the internet, I have never seen or heard anything of this brand. Could anyone tell me a little about it, because I'd like to try one on Bb if at all possible. Thanks!

It was probably from the Coast Wholesale Music Company in Los Angeles. I doubt that they are still in business as they were in the 1950s. Good luck!

'Coast' is currently available, and at very reasonable prices.
It is a marque that produces a full range of sax mouthpieces, and I have seen the B-flat clarinet mouthpiece in the older Weiner catalogs. They're good, but don't dispair if you can't find one...
there are similar designs from Yamaha and other large makers.

Do a search on the web for this mouthpiece. You might keep an eye out on eBay as well because you never know when someone might have one.
