Any thoughts on a duet for violin and clarinet. The
piece will be done as a church service prelude. Skill
level is intermediate. Thanks for your help!

Since no one else has so far posted, I'll suggest you look in Brymer "Clarinet" and Lawson, Cambridge, "Clar" for suitable pieces, and ask knowledgable local musicians, in particular those in orch's and small groups. Don

My Vandoren sheet music catalogue lists followings for clarinet and violin. There are many more with Piano.FYI.
1)bleuse:asteroide 8612 en retourvant le petit prince
2)busch,a:hausmusik duet no.2
3)busch,a:hausmusik op.26 no.1
4)gebauer:duo op.16/3
5)hamilton:serenata
6)haydn:2 sonatas op.93(orig vn & alto)
7)hindemith:ploner musiktag no.3
8)kozev,yassen:stalactite
9)maganini,quinto:petite suite classique(fl/vn & cl)
10)pablo,l.de:soiree
11)raphael,g:kammermusik op.47 nr.6
12)schuman,w:awake thou wintry earth
The last Schuman is not Robert Schuman.
If a piano accompaniment is available, I would take Raphmaninoff Vocalise arranged by Maganini for fl/ob/cl,vn, and piano. Very beautiful piece. Not so difficult technically. Originally vocal piece and arranged for many instruments.
