I have heard nothing but good things about this teacher, but I would be interested to hear from past or current students of his to understand WHY he may be such a sought after teacher.

Also, has Mr. Gilad made any recodings which are currently available?

Although I've never studied with him (our schedules have yet to align), I understand he's a very fine teacher. If the measure of a teacher is his students, then Mr. Gilad is among the best. The current second clarinetist with the NY Phil is a former student of his.
