There are a lot of "student priced clarinets for around $400. For that $$$, what is the best value. Also, is there a discount store on-line for this?

For online stores check the menus at the bottom of the bulletin board. I believe you start with equipment and go to retail.
Good models: stick with the four major makers and their student lines.

Go over to the Resources/Retail section here on Sneezy and call _all_ the places that carry clarinets, not just one. You'll feel better. WW & BW is just one of many.
