Actually, he's designated as Artist in Residence and Visiting Professor of Oboe at Oberlin http://www.oberlin.edu/con/faculty/Klein_Alex.html. There's always a tryout period, though of course as a player, he's eminently qualified. I've heard wonderful things about his master classes, so he's a fine teacher as well. He should certainly be able to attract the best students.
