I am deeply saddened by this news. It was Anthony Camden who I listened to when I started to play the oboe, and I believe he improved my oboe playing by a great deal and even introduced me to vibrato and a lot of wonderful music. I emailed him also for a couple of years, and he would always reply and was always polite, giving me so much useful advice which is so incredibly valuable. When he came over to England just before moving to Australia from Hong Kong, I met up with him in the Marriott hotel in London, by the London eye, and I had a lesson with him in the hotel. I will never forget that time I played the Bellini to him and it was he who introduced me to that piece, which is now, probably my most favourite oboe piece along with the Mozart.

It is such a loss to loose such an amazing oboe player to motor neuran disease.
