I don't have any specific experience with the Schiller oboes, but did briefly see them online when I was researching for a second 'outdoor' oboe. I was suspicious of there being only one or two stores that seemed to sell this oboe (and the main store that pulls up is very small town Wisconsin.) That and the price seemed to comparable to some other brands better to be avoided. The price seemed too good to be true for an oboe for the long term. I didn't want to have to deal with frequent readjustments and such, particularly if the mechanics grew sloppy.
