Hello again
I have to admit I am not big fan of micrometers)))
Cane is different. It takes me about 5-8 minutes to scrape the reed ,than I smoke good cigarette, and finish it for another 5 minutes))
I think it's about 0.1 at the tip and 0.40 at the center... but it may vary.
Sometimes I make sort of windows at the back, sometimes I make very long tip area,it depends in a lot of factors.
The main goal is to be able to play with mouth opend no biting ,but solid coverring of the lips
I also use to make everything by hand -no profilers or digital devices
-2 i tie at 74 mm for the blank and I open reed not by cuttingbut by inserting metal plaque between the blades of the blank, and sometime I even don't cut it after
I strongly belive that we must spend as less as possible time with the reeds, but develop ability to adjust ourself for everything we have
I also not big fan of a dark-dull non flexible tone))
Here I not pretend to be right as you may know now it's a big thing around the world, but **** it ))
I'll be happy to share more if you wish
