yes they do exist as i just bought one for 118$ and its great! a quantum leap over my bundy i have played since 1990. my community band director hates altos and i cant wait to see his face tonite when i pull this out! Seriously the build quality is darn good. sound is rich and woody down low and also sax like up high as most altos are

I've got to see this!

And this is why I like classic Leblanc keywork as it's bombproof. Just like in the cave scene at the end of 'Planet of the Apes', distant future archaeologists will unearth Vito clarinets and Yamaha YFL-211S flutes as both of those things will last forever (while the charred remains of a famous landmark are seen just around the headland).

I don't think any white Vito basses, let alone white Vito altos were ever marketed or sold in the UK. Did Vito offer white Eb clarinets and contras too?

super20, there's a size limit for attached files here, which is 2 MB. You can use Windows Paint or similar to reduce picture sizes, as well as to crop images. There's also a length limit for file names, which I don't remember exactly, but at least up to 28 characters/spaces are fine.

Hey, I'm thinking of just shutting down the picture feature - to hell with the complaints. Put the picture in a picture-friendly public area funded by Google or Facebook or some other giant corporation (plenty of those) and just provide a link. You can make them as big or small as your hearts desire, crop them, enhance them, whatever. I get messages all the time from people wanting a bazillion features. A link yours great and keeps me from having to support different formats, different sizes, upload problems, and everything else that goes with documents and pictures.

Mark, as long as you put up with all the criticism and trouble, I think the ability to attach pictures and other files here is most valuable. When you come across links that are older than a few years on any forum, it is more the rule than the exception that they've become defunct.

super20, also make sure your file format is jpg (or jpeg). If you are using Paint, the easiest way to reduce image sizes is by the "Percent"-feature, where I usually choose 30 for Webb pictures. Then also remember to save (or "save as", where you can choose jpeg as the file format in case the original is something else), before closing. Then double check the file size, before posting.

I bought a blue Dazzler years ago which had turned a funny greenish colour due to yellowing and thought it was a lost cause to restoring the colour besides skimming and polishing the entire surface which is far from ideal. Then I discovered retrobrighting, so it's back to looking blue again without harming the finish.

If a white Vito has yellowed, that can always be restored by immersing the joints in a glass or clear plastic tub or bottle of neat hydrogen peroxide (I think I used 12%) and blasting it with UV light for around a day. I only discovered retrobrighting discoloured/yellowed plastics to restore them to near their original colour at the start of the pandemic while watching YouTube videos.
