 Clarinet parts in French?
Author: tyleman

Can someone direct me to a website where the parts of the clarinet are described in French? Most of the sites I've seen don't describe all the parts.

TIA

Hi TIA,

Would it work to open the English language webpages in the Chrome browser and use the translation option? If you have the language set to French then chrome should offer to translate English to French for you. That's what I do when I read French newspapers with the English translation filter on.

I'm not quite sure where you would get a site with the proper French words but Hugues Fardao would know. He is a poster on here.

Best wishes,

Jennifer

That's fantastic! I really like that. Very Richard Scarry.

From top to bottom :

- le bec
- le baril
- le corps du haut
- le corps du bas
- le pavillon

You plug "les trous" (the "holes") wich are fitted with "des anneaux" (the "rings") and you use "les clefs" (the "keys") for some notes.

To assemble the clarinet, you fit together "le tenon" into "la mortaise".
To clean the clarinet, use "un écouvillon".
You store the clarinet into "un étui".

If you want to discuss in french there's this great forum :

I just recently bought an antique Klose method and all of the parts are described in French.
