I have an older version of the Vandoren German mouthpiece, bought in 2011, and normal ligatures are too large for it. My Lurie Eb comes closer and I am using it. Does anyone know of a dedicated ligature? I do my own facing (and reed-making), and this one plays beautifully with a very long, but not super-closed facing.

My first suggestion would be string. Cord similar to German string is available at craft/hobby stores.
Second, the Vandoren Leather ligature uses Velcro-backed inserts that might just fit a mouthpiece smaller than Bb.
Lastly, you might just try Velcro by itself.

PS I make ligatures from electrical hookup wire that play great. I had to make one for a pair of Behn Prescott mouthpieces that are bigger than standard Bb bodies. I could try a C-clarinet mouthpiece as a mold if you think that is your mouthpiece size.

Vandoren makes a version of their popular OPTIMUM metal ligature (with 3 different interchangeable pressure plates) especially for its German mouthpieces, the D15, D20, and D25. The Vandoren item number for this model is LC05P. (The regular OPTIMUM for French mouthpieces is item # LC01P).
You can get an LC05P OPTIMUM ligature for your German mouthpiece from weinermusic.com. and innoledy.com.
See https://vandoren.fr./en/clarinet-ligatures. The German clarinet ligatures are way at the bottom of the list.

I currently play a vandoren va0 Viennese facing. You can buy a German sized gf system from thomann, or other vendors. Alternatively just use string.

Rovner Eb ligatures world great on Bb German mouthpieces, in fact many are marked Eb/Bb German.
Otherwise 1.5mm waxed cotton string is the best option. You can get roll on Amazon for $9 which will get you enough string to make a lifetime supply of ligatures. Just tie a knot at the end and cut the string 135mm from the knot.

Thomann for sure. There you can find all the German sized versions of many popular ligatures.
I have noticed many on Frederick Weiner Music as well to include Vandoren BG and Rovner.

I would recommend the CF System ligatures. They have versions for German mouthpieces and they are a German company

I use the Luyben on my E Flat, so imagine it would also work on a German mouthpiece.

I can confirm that the Luyben fits German mouthpieces. With Legere reeds it gets almost closed, but still with about a 1mm margin. With thicker cane reed blanks the margin increases.

If you can find a Bois ligature that fits, they work really well on German-style mouthpieces with the string grooves - the grooves act like sort of a ratchet that holds the ligature in one spot, with just enough grip.
